Compact Packaging. Full-Length Rod Protection.

TriAngler is a folding shipping system designed for fishing rods, especially long, one-piece rods. It combines a layered corrugated plastic shell with internal rod restraint in a package that arrives compact and assembles to full length.

For rod builders, retailers, manufacturers, and anglers, it offers a practical way to get suitable packaging where it is needed—and get a rod ready to ship.

Folds Down Before Shipping Begins

Long packaging is awkward to deliver empty. TriAngler’s panels fold into a compact bundle, then extend to form the full-length shipper. Packaging can be supplied directly to the sender without first shipping an empty rod-length box.

Protection Built in Layers

Nested triangular shells surround the rod. Alternating flute directions and staggered folds distribute the construction across multiple layers, while staggered openings keep the seams from lining up on one side.

Riveted connections hold the layers together as the package opens and closes. The triangular profile also helps prevent rolling during handling.

Open It. Position It. Secure It.

TriAngler opens along its length so you can lay the rod inside and see how it fits. The handle, guides, and tip remain accessible while you arrange cushioning and secure the internal restraint.

Once the rod is positioned, the layers close around it to form the shipping shell.

From the Workbench to Its Next Destination

Ship a newly built custom rod, fulfill a customer order, send a rod to another angler, or arrange service. TriAngler brings compact delivery of the empty packaging and full-length protection into one system designed around fishing rods.

Developed Through Hands-On Testing

Prototype testing has helped refine the shell, connections, and internal protection. Development has included impact testing, inspection after testing, and submission of a full-length package to the FedEx packaging lab.

TriAngler is now moving toward manufacturing.

TriAngler’s triangular shape connects several parts of the design: compact packaging before use, nested layers around the rod, and an opening that runs along the package’s length. The goal was to make a shipping package that could reach the sender as a compact kit,...
